The Shepway & District Bowls Association (Kent), founded in 1973, oversees the running, management and organisation of Shepway bowls.

Currently, eleven member and associate clubs in our part of Kent form the unified Shepway and District Bowls Association.
Constitutional objectives of the Shepway & District Bowls Association
a) To encourage the playing of outdoor bowls by people irrespective of gender, age, race or physical disability
b) To publicise the activities of the Association and of the member and associate clubs
c) To organise the following competitions for the mens sections of the relevant clubs:
     •   An inter-club league
    
•   A double rink for the Hudson Cup
    
•   A two-fours event on the August Bank Holiday for the Wood Cup
    
•   Open singles and pairs competitions
     •   Mixed-pairs competition with the ladies
d) To organise the following competitions for the ladies sections of the relevant clubs:
     •   An inter-club league
    
•   A double rink for the Easton Cup
    
•   A two-triples event on the August Bank Holiday for the Harold Rose Bowl
    
•   Open singles and pairs competitions
     •   Mixed-pairs competition with the men
